Welcome from the Chair of Hailey School Governing Body: Steve Alman
Thank you for your interest in HaileyPrimary School. I am proud to be the chair of our Governing Body, working closely with my fellow governors, our Head Teacher Mrs Davies and other staff members to ensure that our school provides the best possible education for its pupils.
Our school is managed by an active and experienced Governing Body comprised of parents, the Head Teacher and other teachers and staff, as well as nominees from the local community, representing the interests of the Church, Parish Council and Local Authority. Click here to see our list of Governors.
Both the Governing Body and the school’s staff continually strive to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for our children, preparing them for their next school and later life. We are proud of our consistently high attainment and we work hard to ensure there is a strong learning collaboration between teachers and parents.
We aim to equip our children with the self-esteem, confidence and tolerance to be responsible members of society, as well as enabling them to achieve their full academic potential.
Our pupils are often praised on field trips and by other schools for their confidence, good behaviour and politeness and we want to continue to be a school of choice for families in the local community.
The Governing Body and I are committed to maintaining these high standards in our pupils’ environment, teaching and learning. We are working hard with our Head Teacher and other education bodies to improve them yet further by investing time and resources where they are needed most and looking for ways to maximise our pupils’ progress and attainment, whilst nurturing their personal development.
If you are interested in more information about what we do please read the governor newsletter which we send out each term to parents and staff, or do call the office to arrange a visit.
If you are interested in becoming a school governor yourself then please contact us for more information about what is required in the role and potential vacancies as we are always looking to expand the experience and skills of our
governing body through members of the local community. You can also find more information about what it’s like to be a governor, and testimonies from school governors on this website: http://www.inspiringgovernors.org/
On behalf of the Governing Body, I look forward to welcoming you to our lovely school.
